From baker to baker... these double chocolate brownies will no doubt knock your socks off! With a crispy top and gooey chocolate chunk center, this recipe is definitely worth a try.
If you've been searching for the best brownie recipe, I believe that your search has officially come to an end... because this is the one! These are genuinely addictive simply due to their ooey gooey center, with melted chocolate pieces, and a crispy edge. I mean who doesn't love the best of both worlds??
Ok, ok I admit I think I've come off too strong by saying these are the best brownie recipe out there. But I truly believe it is, and I think that it would be hard to make these brownies any better. Although, I think you're going to have to try for yourself and let me know what you think! There are so many good things about this recipe, but one of my favorites is that it doesn't take forever to make or prep! I made these beautiful brownies in under 45 minutes, which is perfect if you're in a time crunch, or even if you want to simply make a quick wonderful dessert.
Now personally I love the crispy edges of the brownie, although I’m not going to turn down any center pieces either. I know some people that won’t eat center pieces if they prefer edge pieces and vice versa, although for me if the brownie is good, who’s going to turn down any piece? Right??
The Best Topping Options
There are countless topping options for brownies. But I came up with the top four. Don't forget, you can totally leave them as is and not top them with anything. They'd be just as good!
Top with powdered sugar. Probably the most popular, and simple. But I think it adds another touch of sweetness and depth of flavor. Also, they look 10x better with powdered sugar!
Sprinkle some sea salt. Maybe a little controversial in a way... but I think the combination between sweet chocolate and an aspect of saltiness goes great together! You should totally try it if you haven't already!
Adding some caramel. I mean I think it talks for itself... a warm slice of brownie topped with caramel is what some people dream of. But you can totally make your dreams come true with this recipe, all you need is some caramel :)
Pairing with ice cream. How can you go wrong? Seriously though? A warm slice of brownie topped with your choice of ice cream as it slowly melts on top. The best combination by far!
What are the Best Storing Options for Brownies?
Wait to cut them. If you have made these brownies a day or two before an event or a party I wouldn’t recommend cutting them quite yet. When you cut your brownies, they go bad quicker as more parts of the brownie are exposed. You can keep them in the baking tray you baked them in until you’re ready to cut them. Just make sure to cover the tray with tinfoil.
Store them in tupperware containers. If you’ve already cut your brownies and you have leftovers, place your brownie slices into a tupperware container to keep them fresher for longer. This will give you more time to enjoy what you baked!
Add a slice of bread. No matter what container you’re storing your brownies in, add a slice of bread. Bread holds moisture which can help keep brownies soft and can help keep them from going stale too fast. In essence, the moisture from the bread transfers to the brownies helping them keep for longer.
